This site is a personal blog. Here is what it collects, and why.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-6VYW7NDKTY) to count how many people read the site and which posts they read. GA4 drops cookies in your browser and sends your IP, browser, and the page you viewed to Google. I have IP anonymization enabled. I do not link any of this to personally identifying information on my end.

You can opt out at any time by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by using a browser that blocks trackers.

Comments

Comments are powered by Giscus, which stores them as discussions on the GitHub repository for this site. To comment, you sign in with your GitHub account and GitHub stores your identity and comment history under their terms.

If you never comment, no data flows to GitHub from here.

Newsletter

If you sign up for the email newsletter, your email address is stored by Buttondown on my behalf. I use it only to send newsletter issues. Unsubscribe links are in every email.

The contact form is handled by Formspree. When you submit, your name, email, and message are sent through Formspree to my inbox.

Cookies

The site itself does not set cookies. Cookies are only set by the third parties listed above (primarily GA4 and any GitHub session cookies on comment threads).
